The client is a consulting company active in electrical power and automation solutions, delivering turnkey systems for electricity distribution, industry, as well as wind, solar, hydro, and thermal power plants, with projects in Sweden and other Nordic countries. They have specialist expertise in electrical power and automation solutions, and their Nordic presence enables the execution of projects that meet customers' requirements for quality and functionality.

The company continuously works on developing and implementing electrical power facilities, focusing on high technical standards and industry-specific expertise.

The position is a direct recruitment, which means the recruitment process is conducted through Futuria People, but you will be employed directly by the client.

About the position

As a designer in electrical power, you will be responsible for the electromechanical design of substation facilities within the voltage range of 40–400 kV. You will ensure that all technical solutions comply with applicable standards, contracts, and legal requirements. In this role, you will work closely with project managers and other specialists to find efficient, sustainable, and high-quality solutions.

The work also includes self-checking, reviewing colleagues' designs, as well as participating in bid work and planning project timelines.

Examples of tasks:

• Preparation of layouts for substations and buildings
• Design of portals, frames, and other components
• Dimensioning and laying of cables
• Designing grounding solutions
• Documentation for earthworks, assembly, and construction work
• Reviewing technical documents from suppliers and partners

You will also contribute to the further development of the company's working methods, design processes, and tools for 3D and BIM.

We are looking for you who

• 2-3 years of experience in primary design for transformer/reception stations (40–400 kV)
• Experience with AutoCAD, Primtech, and/or MicroStation
• Fluent in Swedish and proficient in English
